Wedding Wednesday – bridesmaid gifts

Happy Hump Day, y’all!

As usual I am pulling from my Pinterest board (it’s hidden, otherwise I’d link you to it 🙂 ) Lately I’ve been thinking about all of the different things I want to do and/or get for my maids. I like the idea of giving them jewelry to wear the day-of but I also want it to be practical and things they may use later on. The dresses are a rich purple/eggplant color, long, v-neck with a lace back. So I like the idea of dangly earrings. Anyways, here is some inspiration I’ve been feeling lately!

I love the idea of us all getting ready in the same outfit. Since our wedding is in November, robes are a little tough. I found these super cute fleece monogrammed PJs on Etsy that I just love!

I have hundreds of ideas Pinned, but I am narrowing it down to earrings, these pants and a bracelet of some sort. Not finalized on earrings, there are so many I like! What do you think, what did you get your bridesmaids?

Wedding Wednesday

This is my first Wedding Wednesday link-up and I am very excited to be participating! I figure as a soon-to-be-wed I may as well hop on the train.

As usual I am pulling from my Pinterest board (it’s hidden, otherwise I’d link you to it 🙂 ) Lately I’ve been thinking about what I actually want to WEAR – for my shower, the bachelorette and rehearsal dinner. I’ve been pinning like a mad woman all different sorts of dresses in white, ivory, lace, chiffon, etc. Yesterday I finally pulled the trigger on one off Zulily (referral link) because it was marked down to $27.99. How could I not?! I figure if I don’t like it on me I’ll donate it. But I am thinking for either my shower or rehearsal dinner. What do ya think?

I would show you the millions (ok, exaggeration) of other dresses I’ve pinned but they are all pretty similar. This one was unique. Any suggestions on where to get some great shower/bach/rehearsal pieces? I love me some Rent the Runway but feel like I need a plan b for such a big event.

Keeping this post short since I am sneaking in a quick post at work – but would love to hear your thoughts! Happy Hump Day!

Greetings all! I’ve been pinning like a mad woman to my wedding board lately so thought I’d share some of my latest inspiration on this Friday. Let me know what you think!

1. This sign
Saw this on Style Me Pretty and have just fallen in love with it. It goes along with the style I’m looking for, so I am going to start perusing Etsy and see what I can find.

2. These invitations
Just started working with my designer friend on our invitations and this is totally the style I am digging! It somewhat mirrors what we did on our save the dates. I love the whimsical writing.

3. Baby’s breath and lanterns
After meeting with the florist we decided that floral centerpieces are way out of our price range unfortunately…so, we’re going to make sure mine and the girls’ flowers are gorgeous and look for inspiration for the tables elsewhere. I am in love with the idea of lanterns and candlelight, it’s so romantic. And now more recently – baby’s breath. My mom and I are going to scour thrift stores for vintage bud vases this weekend while Bri is away at (yet another) bachelor party! Here are some pics I really love.

4. This other sign
This one I actually bought and just received in the mail yesterday! It’s in a natural color which kinda goes with the theme, and I just think it’s adorable. Thought we’d hang it from the dessert or gift table.

5. Door hanger
I’ve seen these everywhere and think they are so cute, I am going to get them for our welcome bags.

So there you have it! A little look in to our wedding inspiration lately. Thanks to our 5 on Friday hostesses and TGIF everyone!

bridal showers and Easter eggs

We had a super busy and fun-filled weekend of family and friends! Spent Friday night putting together last minute details for Kaitlin’s bridal shower, then pulled it off without a hitch on Saturday! Tons of photos below to re-cap. (and you can see my Rent the Runway number!) Sunday was absolutely gorgeous (and unseasonably warm here) with 80+ degrees! We had our Easter with our nieces and capped off the day with putt-putt and ice cream. So fun! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Save the Dates – sent!

Our save-the-dates went out yesterday and I am so excited! For some reason it makes it feel more real that we’ll be getting married in November. It’s only 8 months away!

I thought I’d share a little wedding inspiration I’ve been feeling with you, and the direction I’m heading in for colors and look/feel.

Our wedding date is 11/22, and in Upstate NY that could mean anything for weather. So I’ve been toggling back and forth between fall and winter inspiration, because who knows what it’ll be doing on our wedding day! Below are a few pins from my wedding board on Pinterest.

I’d love to hear feedback on what you think or any tips you may have if you’ve already taken a trip down the aisle!
